Bilingual Event Series on AI in Education: A Space to Rethink Tomorrow’s Teaching Practices

As artificial intelligence becomes an everyday presence in schools, EdCan Network is inviting educators to join a new series of virtual roundtable discussions on how AI is shaping education. Organized with L’École branchée (EngagED Learning) and The Dais, the sessions will explore practical, ethical and future-focused questions for classrooms and schools, in both English and French, starting in January 2026. Read on to learn more about the topics and how to participate.

EdCan Network, in partnership with L’École branchée (EngagED Learning) and The Dais, will host a series of virtual roundtable discussions dedicated to the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education.

Since its transformative emergence in 2022, AI has opened up new educational possibilities, while simultaneously raising important ethical and organizational questions. This event schedule invites the educational community to explore together how to integrate this technology responsibly into classrooms and school operations.

The discussions will focus on essential topics, including the critical competencies that students must develop to thrive in a world where AI is already redefining work, as well as strategies for educators to create learning experiences that are aligned with these evolving needs.

Sessions in English:

January 22nd, 2026 : Session 1: How do we integrate AI into K-12 education safely and ethically?
February 20th, 2026 : Session 2: What competencies will students need to succeed in a future with AI?
March 24th, 2026 : Session 3: How is AI transforming teaching and assessment practices?

Sessions in French:

January 21st, 2026 : Séance 1 : Comment intégrer l’IA dans l’éducation primaire et secondaire de manière sécuritaire et éthique?
February 18th, 2026 : Séance 2 : Quelles compétences les élèves devront-ils et elles acquérir pour réussir dans un avenir avec l’IA?
March 25th, 2026 : Séance 3 : Comment l’IA transforme-t-elle les pratiques d’enseignement et d’évaluation?
