Queen Elizabeth II: an honourable legacy
On September 8, 2022, at the age of 96 and after a reign of more than 70 years, Queen Elizabeth II passed away. Here are some activities that will help students learn more about the major events in her life, the duties of her representatives in Canada, as well as some information on Canadian currency.
The following activities will provide students the chance to become more acquainted with the constitutional monarchy, Queen Elizabeth II, and Charles III, King of the United Kingdom.
Objectives
After completing the activities, students will be able to:
- Identify and understand Queen Elizabeth II’s main accomplishments;
- Understand the role of constitutional monarchy and the duties of a monarch;
- Organize the events of the life of King Charles III chronologically
