MindShare Learning is partnering with the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus (UTSC) to host the 15th Canadian EdTech Leadership Summit and STEM Showcase. The event, themed ‘Navigating the Future of Education in an AI Inspired World’, will take place from October 31 to November 2, 2024, in the newly constructed Sam Ibrahim Active Learning Spaces Building at UTSC.
This year’s summit is set to be a landmark gathering, bringing together educational leaders, technology innovators, and thought leaders to explore the future of education in the age of artificial intelligence. For the first time, the event will feature a Teacher & Student STEM Saturday Showcase, providing a unique platform for educators and students to present their innovative projects.
Dr. Steve Joordens, Professor of Psychology and Director of the ALT Lab at UTSC, will serve as Co-Chair of the summit. He expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the event in UTSC’s state-of-the-art facility. “UTSC has led innovation at the University of Toronto, and it is an honour and privilege to host such a great conference that is so important in these early days of AI and education,” said Dr. Joordens.
Robert Martellacci, Founder and President of MindShare Learning, echoed this sentiment. “We are excited to collaborate with UTSC and bring together educators, students, and industry leaders for a transformative experience,” Martellacci said. “The addition of the STEM AI Innovation Saturday Showcase highlights our commitment to fostering creativity and innovation in education.”
The summit will include keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, offering attendees the chance to engage with cutting-edge technologies and explore best practices in digital learning. It aims to foster collaboration on initiatives that drive educational excellence in an AI-driven world.
