Generative AI for Educators is a free, two-hour, self-paced course designed to help teachers save time and enhance student learning with generative AI tools, such as Gemini or ChatGPT.

Generative AI for Educators is a free, two-hour, self-paced course designed to help teachers save time and enhance student learning with generative AI tools, such as Gemini or ChatGPT. Developed by experts at Google in collaboration with MIT RAISE (Responsible AI for Social Empowerment and Education), teachers learn how using generative AI tools can help to save time on everyday tasks, differentiate instruction to meet student needs, enhance lessons and activities in creative ways, and more. 

Teachers earn a PDF certificate from the course, which accounts for professional development achievement.

Learn how to: 

  • Save time on everyday tasks. Use generative AI tools to help write class correspondence, create assessments, provide and format feedback, and tackle other administrative work.
  • Enhance lessons in creative ways. Use generative AI tools to help update an existing activity to be more relevant to student interests, or apply an instructional strategy to make a lesson more engaging for students.
  • Personalize instruction. Use generative AI tools to help adapt your content to better meet students’ individual learning needs, like modifying one lesson to accommodate varying reading levels.
