PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
An issue focused on research in educational technology
STONEHAM-ET-TEWKESBURY, September 1, 2022 – Education research and the importance of enhancing experiential knowledge based on evidence-based data to guide pedagogical practices and assess the effectiveness of interventions have never been more widely discussed.
Education research is based on something that should not be overlooked: the complexity of the situations and subjects studied, as well as the uniqueness of their contexts. Human factors, including emotions and constantly evolving socio-economic factors, also come into play. It is generally very complex (sometimes even impossible) to generalize research findings – we are far from the controlled environments of chemistry labs! Nevertheless, it is possible to identify major trends, but it is also important to interpret research results with nuance in order to gain inspiration from them. Indeed, these results often reflect a snapshot captured at a specific moment in a particular situation.
For this issue, Engaged Learning Magazine reached out to research teams (particularly in educational technology) to share and shed light on recent findings where learning is supported by the use of digital tools. The goal is to inspire educational environments, expand the realm of possibilities, and reach as many teachers, educational advisors, and school administrators as possible.
EngagED Learning magazine was launched in September of 2021. It is the English edition of the well known Canadian French École branchée magazine.
